Gary brings a wealth of experience to UPPER 90 Soccer. Gary attended Adelphi University and while there he was nominated for the prestigious Herman Award which goes to the NCAA Division I player of the year. After college Gary was drafted to play Major League Soccer for the Colorado Rapids. After 2 seasons with the Rapids Sullivan returned home to play for the Long Island Rough Riders. In each of his first two years he was named to the leagues All Star Team and was also the leagues defensive player of the year. Gary was fortunate enough to spend many summers training in South America and Europe under the instruction of some of the worlds best soccer minds! Gary is excited to bring all of these soccer methods and his experiences together to share with the players of UPPER 90 Soccer!!

Bruce Stegner
A lifetime Massapequa resident, Bruce played college soccer at Hofstra where he captained the East Coast Conference championship team in 1986. He has coached on many levels including assistant under Rich Nuttal with Hofstra University Men's program from 1997-2000, as well as assistant with the CW Post Men's program in 1986. Bruce has also coached the boys Varsity at Mepham High School for 6 years and currently is the head coach of the Massapequa High School Girl's team. Under his tenor the team has won 3 State Championships and 8 Nassau County Championships in 9 years. Bruce was awarded NY State Coach of the Year in 2010. Bruce has coached/trained numerous club teams over the last 20 years across Long Island.

Rick Fatscher- Goalkeeping Coach
A native of Massapequa, Fatscher had a stellar playing career as a youth player, playing goal for the LIJSL Select team and the ENYSYA State Select team from 1978-1982. He also won a gold medal as a member of the LI team at the 1981 Empire State Games before spending four years at Syracuse University where he earned Most Outstanding Player honors on the Orange’s 1985 Big East Tournament Champion team. He served as Goalkeeper Trainer at Syracuse University and then spent two years as the LIJSL Select Goalkeeper Trainer from 1994-96, and worked with numerous clubs across LI for the last 18 years. Rick returned to the LIJSL Select Player Development Program in 2010 as part of the Goalkeeping instructor and coaching staff. He holds a NSCAA B License.
